This passage is a turning point of not only in Joseph’s life, but also in the book of Genesis. In this passage, we see the offspring of Abraham demonstrate how wicked humanity can be and the depravity of even God’s supposed chosen people. However this passage, like all parts of the Old Testament and Bible, should never be read in isolation.
